Some of the responsibilities over the years have included

  • Delivered high-quality, maintainable code, meeting sprint goals while support team goals and business needs
  • Responded to incidents and bugs with care and attention to detail that maintained the quality and security of Prodigy’s multiple product
  • Provided tools that facilitate designers’ workflows and allow them to securely and swiftly enhance the player experience.
  • Led task-planning sessions by thoughtfully estimating tasks and reliably fulfilling commitments.

Below are some of the Projects I worked on over 6 years

Prodigy English

Village Builder, where players would gather resources with energy gained by answering English questions. Using resources to build decorations and customize their personal village

Job | Quest Display

Added a display on the side of the screen, tracking job progress, driven by in-game actions, run on a back-end server

Pet Skins | Outfits

Updated the game’s pet Spines to change visuals on the fly. Changing the image mapped to a bone, allowing for different pet breeds, and outfits.

Pet Level | Bonuses

Added level mechanics to the pet, allowing them to level up, and provide a bonus to resource gathering

Neighbours

Added Neighbours tied to physical locations in the game. Neighbours would ask for gifts, allowing you to increase their affection, rewarding the play with items

Fish Spawning

Added a system allowing for fish to spawn as resources in the world. Driven by a robust set of placement rules

Membership API

Implemented the Prodigy’s membership API and Menu, allowing the game to track, and reference membership, during game actions

Mailer API

Implemented the Prodigy’s new mailer API and Menu, allowing the designers and other teams to send mail to the players sending items and messages

Prodigy Math

Pokemon Style MMORPG, where players would engage in turn-based battles, by answering math questions, with their PC and team of captured pets.

Pet Book

Update to the pet menu used for selecting the player’s team and viewing pet details. Showing various stats and details of each pet

Wizard Watch

The in-game news menu, added a series of improvements to boast user notice-ability and retention

Name Selection

Built the in-game name selection and randomizer

Member shop

Created, and managed the experiment for a rotating, membership store, driven by a live-ops tool, allowing designers and PMs to select items for rotation
